Ifugao boxer is the New WBC Asia Featherweight Champion

Ifugao, Philippines – An Ifugao boxer is the new WBC (World Boxing Council) Asia Featherweight Champion after his stunning second-round knockout victory over Attanon Kunlawong of Thailand during the Vic Boxing Promotions held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on Friday, June 25, 2022.

The 25-year-old KJ Natuplag disclosed in his interview with a local radio station that he did not expect to win via knockout as he already struggled with the strong blow of his opponent in the first round.

After his victory, he is now bracing to defend his title which is yet to be planned by his boxing promoter.

Natuplag said he does not have plans to compete with higher weight category as of yet as he is comfortable with his current weight.

The Ifugao boxer and former Philippine Bantamweight Champion expressed his gratitude to those individuals and groups who supported him throughout his journey.

“Unang-una maraming salamat kay Lord at sa lahat ng sumuporta sa akin, sa mga sponsor ko mas lalo na sa vicmmagym2022,” said Natuplag.
