2 young men arrested for stealing motorcycle in Tabuk City

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Two young individuals in Tabuk City were arrested by the police after allegedly stealing a motorcycle in Barangay Casigayan around 2 o'clock on the morning of November 13, 2022.


The two were nabbed when the Tabuk City police launched a hot pursuit operation after a 28-year-old complainant reported at the police station about his missing motorcycle.


According to the report of Tabuk City Police Station, the victim claimed that he parked his motorcycle at Water Lily Street in Barangay Casigayan. However, when he was about to go home, his motorcycle was nowhere to be found.

He tried looking for the motorcycle himself, but when he could no longer find it, it was then he went to seek the assistance of the police.


With the complaint, the authorities conducted a hot pursuit operation which resulted in the arrest of two men who attempted to escape by traversing the road in Barangay Ipil heading towards Barangay Nambaran.


The two suspects were later identified by the police as Laurel Gampong, 22, and an 18-year-old Grade 12 student. Both are residents of Barangay Nambaran.

The said stolen motorcycle, along with the suspects’ getaway vehicle, was recovered by the operatives.


The suspects and the motorcycles were brought to Tabuk City Police Station. The two men are expected to face appropriate charges.


Meantime, the Philippine National Police - Tabuk City reminded the public to take extra precautions when leaving their belongings in order not to give unscrupulous people an opportunity to commit crimes.
