46-yr.-old man in Isabela takes own life over depression

Ramon, Isabela – Depression takes a number of lives every year, and Ramon, Isabela logged its first case.  

 

According to the World Health Organization, more than 700,000 people worldwide die yearly due to suicide, of which, depression was cited to be among the main causes.

 

One of the people who suffered from said mental disorder recently was a caretaker in Ramon, Isabela. He was found lifeless and bathing in his own blood on Wednesday morning, January 3, according to a local media report.


The victim was identified as a 46-year-old caretaker and a resident of San Mateo, Isabela working in Ramon.

 

Police disclosed that the victim might have cut his wrist due to the wound left on his hand.

 

Authorities also found out that the 46-year-old told one of his friends that he was experiencing depression over his ex-wife. This may have led the victim to take his own life.

 

The latter’s family believes that there was no foul play in the incident.
