Benguet youth groups hold donation drive to acquire oxygen tanks for local hospital

Bokod, Benguet - Talented and Unfazed Leaders Empowered for Development (TULED), a youth organization in Bokod, Benguet has initiated a drive to acquire oxygen tank donations as assistance to the Dennis Molintas District Hospital (DMDH).


In an interview with the Philippine Information Agency - Cordillera, TULED President Sheryl Pentiano said that DMHS is a small hospital, but it already caters to nearby municipalities and patients from region 2.

“At dahil sa dami ng nag-positibo sa COVID-19, tumulong kami na maghanap ng magdo-donate ng oxygen tanks,” Pentiano said.


TULED youth organization in partnership with the Public Speaking Club of Daklan National High School (DNHS) and Badekbek Murmurs led by Jobelle A. Batanes were able to turn over two oxygen tanks with regulators donated by the Bokod Sulphur Spring Multipurpose Cooperative (BSSMC) on October 21, 2021.


Marketing Officer of BSSMC Ariel Laguitao, during the event, stated that their cooperative aims to assist projects that help and uplift the lives of the community.


BSSM Manager Juliano Mino, who also attended the turn over added that helping DMDH with the provision of oxygen tanks is their simple way of helping the hospital save more lives.
