Cordillera produces 11 topnotchers in Nov. 2025 Nursing Board Exam

Baguio City, Philippines – Eleven graduates from universities in the Cordillera region excelled in the November 2025 Philippine Nursing Licensure Examination (PNLE), bringing pride and honor to their alma maters.

 

These 11 are among the 40,692 passers of the PNLE held on November 4–5 across various testing centers nationwide. Their success did not end with passing the exam; they also secured spots in the Top 10 list of examinees with the highest ratings.

 

The topnotchers from the region are:

 

  • Mariella Theony Reyes Medina (Top 2)

  •  Vi-Ann Gwyneth Lachica Ragasa (Top 5)

  •  Godwin Charles Ragasa Pepito and Joy Maguli Diasen (Top 8)

  •  John Allen Bisley Guisdan and Denzel Alatio Tuazon (Top 9)

  •  Angely Elaine De Vera Acosta, Katrice Kyla Leal Biay, Kyla Sinlao De Guzman, Janine Grace Lazo Mapalo, and Renee Rio Balag-ey Picpican (Top 10)

 

Eight of these top-performing examinees graduated from Saint Louis University (SLU), while the remaining three came from Easter College, the University of Baguio, and Benguet State University (BSU).

 

Apart from producing 11 PNLE topnotchers, four higher education institutions in the Cordillera were also cited as top-performing schools. SLU, BSU, and Ifugao State University achieved a 100% passing rate, while Easter College earned 99.53%.

 

The Commission on Higher Education–Cordillera commended the achievements of the region’s PNLE passers and topnotchers, stating, “Congratulations to our NLE top examinees shaped by CAR institutions. Your excellence reflects the strength of our region’s nursing education. Congratulations on this remarkable achievement!”
