Flora LGU to receive four Regional Awards from DILG

Flora, Apayao- As a testament of its exemplary governance and public service delivery, the municipality of Flora has been awarded by the Department of Interior and Local Government-CAR for four functionality awards.

Said Regional awards include Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Functionality Audit CY 2023, Peace and Order Council (POC) Functionality Audit CY 2023, Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC) Functionality Audit CY 2023, and Local Council for Protection of Children (LCPC) Functionality Audit CY 2023.

In a letter sent to Mayor Rodolfo B. Juan on October 8, thru DILG-Apayao Provincial Director Engr. Mayer Max Adong, the municipality was informed of the aforesaid awards —an indication of the excellent performance of the LGU on various governance areas of assessment, including leadership, organization and management, policies, plans, social services, project implementations, among other accomplishments.

Mayor Juan or his representative will receive the awards on October 28, at the  Crown Legacy Hotel, Legarda Rd., Baguio City during the Regional Awarding ceremony, simultaneous with the 33rd  Local Government Month Celebration.

In his previous talks, Juan attributed the success to work and cooperation of LGU officials and personnel who have been consistent in their commitment and oneness supporting the administration's development goals and unified governance.

Meantime, Juan encouraged all LGU offices to sustain an efficient and inclusive delivery of public services to residents.
