Kalinga awards P.6M to COVID-19 frontliners in recognition of their service

Tabuk City, Kalinga - The provincial government of Kalinga through the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) of the Provincial Human Resource Management Office awarded a total of P640,000 to COVID-19 frontliners during the PLGU Family Christmas Program held on December 23 at Kalinga Astrodome.

PHRM Officer Grace Flores Kidang said a P100,000 cash incentive was given to Provincial Health Office led by Dr. Edward Tandingan.

The same amount was conferred to Kalinga Provincial Hospital headed by Dr. Marlyn Duyan while the Provincial Risk Reduction and Management Office, under the leadership of Jolanta Baac received P50,000.

Meanwhile, district hospitals including Western Kalinga District Hospital, Kalinga District Hospital in Lubuagan, Pinukpuk District Hospital, Juan M. Duyan Memorial Hospital, Tanudan Municipal Hospital, and Kalinga Gabriela Mija Kim Medical Center got P50,000 each.

Further, all the department offices under the provincial government were given P5,000 for ‘deploying personnel who assisted in various checkpoints.’

With the initiative of Governor Ferdinand Tubban, the frontliners were recognized for their “tireless efforts, selfless and extraordinary services rendered as frontliners who are filled with admirable courage and commitment in performing duties in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Governor Tubban, in his message, thanked the contribution of each of the employees, including job orders, contract of service, regular employees, and department heads, which he considers as the greatest asset of the government.

“Tatta nga selebrasyon ken thanksgiving ket saan tayo a liplipatan iti value ti Christmas. It is the season of love, kindness, and sharing. Let us embody the value of Christmas, not only this holiday season but in our everyday life,” concludes the governor.
