Kalinga PLGU urged leaders to get Covid-19 jab to gain constituents’ trust

Tabuk City, Kalinga―As there are priority population groups for vaccination, Kalinga leaders are being urged to get the jabs for Covid-19 virus in order to gain the trust of the constituents to have themselves vaccinated.


This is according to Provincial Governor’s Office, Executive Assistant III Elizabeth Balais II on a phone patch interview where she reported the PLGU’S status on CoViD-19 vaccination plan.


“Adda ti phase ti bakuna nga ited ti government according to Carl Henson from the BIDA local forum. Adda ti vaccine development nga made up of different phases, Phase 1 to Phase 3 wherein it established the safety and efficacy of the vaccines,” she said.


She said that the priority sector for the vaccination is based on the interim guidelines of Department of Health (DOH) according to the listing for the CoViD-19 Electronic Information Registry for vaccine.


“Ti primary goal ket mabawasan morbidity and mortality ken maitultuloy ti maintenance and critical essential services. Secondary goal ket malappedan ti transmission ken maiwasan ti disruption iti social economics and security function. The main goal is to prevent CoViD-19 deaths that may disrupt the global services,” she said.


First groups include the workers of the frontline services, the senior citizens, indigent population, and uniformed personnel.


Second groups are the teachers, social workers,Teachers, social workers, other government workers, essential workers, social welfare sector, agriculture, food industry, tourism, transportation followed by OFWs, seafarers, and the remaining workers.


Moreover, Kalinga PLGU is waiting for the master list of individuals to be prioritized for categorization and submission to the national government. The list shall form the basis for the purchase of vaccines.


PLGUs and Local Government Units are only to prepare for the mobilization and storage but also have to allot funds for vaccine procurement just in case there will be lack of funds in the national government.

Adda ti vaccination plan nga ar aramiden da Dr. Tandingan and they are now coordinating it with other municipalities.
