Kalinga Treasures Fair 2024 generates P21.3M gross sales


Tabuk City, Kalinga – This year’s Kalinga Treasures Fair was more successful, with millions more in sales than in 2023.

 

As part of the 29th Kalinga Founding Anniversary and 5th Bodong Festival celebration, a trade exhibit was set up along the MSA Boulevard in Bulanao Centro from February 5 to 17, 2024.

 

This provided businesspeople in the province and neighboring areas an avenue to showcase their artistic crafts and locally made products to institutional buyers.


Within the 12-day exhibit, a total of P21,327,083.00 in gross sales was generated. This represents a 28% increase from the P16,715,504.00 collected in 2023.

 

According to the Department of Trade and Industry Kalinga, the furniture and furnishing sector had the highest sales with P7,302,670.00, accounting for 34% of the total gross income. This was followed by wearables and fashion accessories with P3,225,933.00, or 15%.

 

The breakdown of figures includes P1,912,552.00 in sales of processed food and gifts; P1,758,040.00 in home decorations; P358,779.00 in ornamental plants; and P329,109.00 collected from the DTI special program booths.

 

Meanwhile, the real estate sector generated P6,440,000.00.

 

The 2024 Kalinga Treasures Fair had 100 local and guest exhibitors participating.
