The data provided by the council is as of Thursday morning, noting that the figure is subject to further validation.

All said roads except Amdalao-Malucsad-Magsilay-Limo-od Road are unpassable as of press time due to landslides.

The quake’s effects on infrastructure

Waterworks systems in Barangays Guina-ang and Malucsad are not operational due to damaged pipelines.

Meantime, a power outage was experienced in some barangays just minutes after the earthquake but was restored in the afternoon.

Only Barangays Balatoc and Colayo have still unrestored power.

24/7 OPCEN activated

MDRRMC said the council activated a temporary emergency 24/7 Operation Center at Pasil Central School while the concerned offices assess the situation in the municipality.

Mayor Malannag called for his constituents to stay alert and remain in safe places as the aftershocks are being experienced and more may be expected, according to Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.

Malannag assured they are working on the reopening of road networks and asked for cooperation and understanding as they hold community safety as a top priority.
