Tanudan LGU allots 9 million for vaccine procurement

Tanudan, Kalinga─The Municipal Government of Tanudan led by Mayor Jaedicke Dagadag is allocating funds worth PhP 8-9 million to purchase COVID-19 vaccines for residents for the roll-out of the vaccination program.


Said budget for the procurement of vaccines discussed in a recent meeting attended by the Municipal Vice Mayor Joseph Cosidon, Administrator Atty. Antonio Basungit, Sangguniang Bayan members, municipal health officers and all department heads of the municipality.


Mayor Jaedicke Dagadag said in an interview that the allotment of funds is intended for the 30% of the population. That is the counterpart of the municipal government since the funding for the 70% of the population shall be from the Department of Health (DOH) thru the provincial government.

“8-9 million ti allotment ngem bagi ti munisipyo 30% of the population sunga more or less 1.8 million laeng ti magastos ta 70% of the population magapo ti province diay fund,” he said.


He added that the budget shall be from the calamity fund of their Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (LDRRMC) and shall be for further discussion.


“Adda metten ketditi mabalin nga pagalan diay LDRMMC mi ti pagalan ti pondo under calamity metlang sigurado nga adda diay pondo urayen lang nga maurnus ta isubmit mi pay diay budget mi idiay province tapno makita mi,” he said.

Dagadag is hopeful that the implementation of the vaccination program shall be carried out as soon as possible so that they can finally get back on their normal routines.


“Dakkel ah tapno agsardeng ken maiwasan daytoy coronavirus, dayta met ti ur urayen tayo dayta nga agas ket dakkel ti tulong na haan lang nga ditoy nu di ket buo ng lubong tapno makasubli tu ti normal nga biyag tayon,” he said.


With 10,125 population of municipality as of 2021 record, the municipal government through the municipal health office is currently working on the master listing for the first phase vaccination.
