Tanudan Sangguniang Bayan welcomes new Municipal IPMR

Tanudan, Kalinga – Members of the Sangguniang Bayan of Tanudan welcomed new council member, newly-selected Municipal Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative(IPMR), Hon. Jocelyn Dulagan on October 13.


Dulagan marked her first attendance at the SB on Monday, where she took her oath administered by Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag, witnessed by the different barangay IPMRs and the SB members led by Vice Mayor Antonio Basungit Jr.

The newly-designated municipal official who is a retired teacher from Lubo was selected by the different communities in Tanudan to be their representative to the legislative council in September.


During the 16th regular session, Dulagan sang a prayer of praise and petition for wisdom, unity, and guidance for the officials and people of Tanudan.


Now that she officially joined the Sangguniang Bayan, Dulagan will be the voice of the indigenous people in Tanudan at the legislative council. She is expected to advocate their rights, interests, and welfare. She is also expected to contribute to the development and legislation of policies that are beneficial to the IP communities.
