TRAGIC love story: Pilot involved in FA-50 jet crash set to marry fiancée

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Everything was set for 1st Lieutenant AJ Dadulla and his sweetheart to wed, and all it takes would be the ceremony next Saturday, March 15.

 

Unfortunately, the FA-50 fighter jet tragedy happened on Wednesday, March 5.

 

Dadulla was onboard the ill-fated jet with Major Jude Salang-oy, an iKalinga, on March 4. They were en route to provide combat support to the troops battling suspected New People’s Army past midnight of Tuesday in Bukidnon when they couldn’t be tracked minutes before their expected arrival at the target area of operations.

 

Through a wide-scale search, the jet was found. The search and rescue team described the plane as totally wrecked. It was located at the vicinity of the Mt. Kalatungan Complex in Bukidnon with Dadulla and Salang-oy inside.

 

The two were confirmed dead by the Philippine Air Force, in a statement, on Wednesday.

 

Salang-oy is married and has a child, while Dadulla was supposed to marry the love of his life who is also a member of the PAF this coming March 15.

 

In a Facebook post, the fallen military pilot’s fiancée expressed her love for him.

 

“I am so proud of you, my love. You will always be in my heart. I love you and till we meet again, love,” she captioned alongside a series of photos together.

 

The cadavers of the two pilots were carried down from the mountains and were brought to a mortuary in Cagayan de Oro before midnight on Wednesday.
