Robber caught with shabu in Tabuk City

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A suspected robber pursued by the police was caught in possession of suspected shabu around 1:00 AM of November 24, 2022.

The suspect was identified by the Tabuk City police as a certain Jonathan Talaue, 31, a resident of Barangay Bulanao Norte, Tabuk City.

The police stated that Talaue was suspected to be behind the armed robbery that transpired in San Gabriel, Tuguegarao City on the evening of November 19, 2022.

A hot pursuit operation was launched against him and his companion until the operatives were able to track and arrest him in Barangay Laya East around 1:00 AM.

When the police searched the suspect, it was said that they were able to recover a medium transparent sachet containing a substance suspected to be shabu worth P10,200.

The operatives further confiscated from the suspect a unit of Cal. 45 Rock Island inserted with 8 live ammunition, a magazine of Cal. 45 with 8 live ammunition, a piece of Cal. 45 ammunition, back holsters, jewelry, P9,500 bills, 200 US dollar, brown wallet, a cellphone, 2 rolled aluminum foil, and a motorcycle and its key.

The suspect was brought to Tabuk City Police Station after an on-site inventory of the evidence taken from him.
