Tanudan begins Covid-19 vax for minors aged 12-17 on Nov 27

Tanudan, Kalinga — Vaccination for minors ages 12 to 17 in the municipality will begin this Saturday, November 27, in three vaccination sites.

Pfizer will be administered to the minors at the vaccinate sites in Banagao, Pangol, and Pagugo.

According to Geraldine Wacdagan, Public Health Associate of the Municipal Health Office, the minors will need the consent of their parents or guardians with a valid ID or birth certificate before they will get their Covid-19 jab.

“Minors da, so, kailangan iti consent from the parents, guardians, valid ID or nu haan ket birth certificate kasdiay ken kailangan talaga nga adda kadwa da nga umay idiay vaccination area,” she said.

As of November 25, there are a total of 2,966 vaccine doses administered in Tanudan.

Additionally, 1,572 individuals are already fully vaccinated while 1,394 have received their first dose.

Wacdagan mentioned that they continue to strengthen their Information Education Campaign to fight vaccination hesitancy among the public. She also added that vaccinated individuals, especially senior citizens, are helping in the IEC by telling their testimony of receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.
