Man who killed his daughter in Tuguegarao harms self while in detention

Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – The 34-year-old security guard who killed his daughter by stabbing inflicted harm to himself while inside the Tuguegarao City PNP-Custodial Facility over the weekend, according to authorities.

The suspect is now at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center and is currently under observation. He had wounds on his neck and chest after using a spoon to cut himself.

As relayed by the police to local media, he was found with his neck bleeding in the facility’s comfort room while holding a spoon without a handle.

Prior to this, the suspect has been observed by his fellow inmates going back and forth to the comfort room. Minutes passed and he was noticed to have not come out of the comfort room after a long time.

When they checked him inside, they found him bleeding, urging the police to ferry him to the medical facility.

To recall, the inmate is currently facing parricide charges after stabbing his daughter to death on July 24.

The suspect has admitted the crime he committed after he was voluntarily surrendered by his sibling to authorities.

Before the killing, he had a quarrel with his wife who is an OFW in Taiwan that time. After he got home from work, he vented his ire at her daughter, resulting in the incident.
