P1.3M in wages benefit 208 TUPAD beneficiaries in Flora, Apayao

Flora, Apayao – Aligned with the Flora LGU’s aim to provide aid and alleviate his constituents’ standard of living, Mayor Rodolfo Juan led the distribution of the P1,341,600.00 in wages to 208 TUPAD beneficiaries in said town.

Each beneficiary received P6,450.00 on July 26, 2024, as payment for their 15-day work in various barangays in the municipality.

Some helped with the construction of Comport Rooms in support to the Zero Defecation Program of the LGU through the MHO and DOH. The work benefitted 104 families.

Others went to work on Community Gardening in support to the Malnutrition Program for all barangays, and other related barangay activities.

With the money, the beneficiaries who are usually unemployed and underprivileged will have some amount to satisfy their daily needs.

In his statement, Mayor Juan expressed gratefulness to the program and the assistance of the Office of Congresswoman Eleanor Bulut-Begtang and the office of the Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr., as well as the implementing office, the Department of Labor and Employment-Apayao.

Juan additionally praised the program saying that the involvement of the community will make bigger progress to the locality.

The 208 TUPAD-beneficiaries, meantime, expressed gratitude for the temporary employment given to them and hoped the program will benefit more residents in their area.
