Be a DAR scholar and enjoy P3,000 monthly stipend, other monetary benefits


Tabuk City, Kalinga – Interested agricultural students who are dependents of Agrarian Reform beneficiaries (ARBs) are now urged by the Department of Agrarian Reform-Kalinga to apply for the agency’s scholarship program for the school year 2024-2025.


The scholarship grant is designed for qualified dependents of ARBs to have an opportunity to study and complete agriculture-related college degree courses from state universities and colleges (SUCs) with financial support from DAR.

The scholarship program assures its recipients a P3,000 monthly stipend, a P500 monthly transportation allowance, a P2,000 book allowance per semester, a P500 monthly lodging allowance, and a P5,000 summer allowance, among other monetary benefits.


The application is ongoing, and its deadline is December 15, 2023.


Who are eligible?


To qualify for the scholarship, an applicant should be a legitimate dependent of an ARB, a senior high school graduate with a general average of at least 83 percent, have passed the college admission exam, and be in good health and of good moral character.


An applicant must not also be convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude, must not have a pending administrative or criminal case, and must not be a beneficiary of any other government scholarship or financial assistance program.


How to apply?

Those eligible for the scholarship are asked to submit a certification issued by DAR-Kalinga stating that he or she is a qualified dependent of an ARB, an application form, an authenticated copy of the birth certificate, a health certificate issued by a government hospital or physician, a barangay clearance, and a certified photocopy of Form 137 (High School Report Card).


They are also urged to submit a statement of commitment and support by their parents or guardians, Certificate of Good Moral Character, a Certificate of Indigency, Certificate of Rating from SUC for passing the entrance examination, and Certificate of Enrolment if already enrolled in an institution.
