Both hailing from Turod, Bulo, Tabuk City, Angngad ranked 5th, while Aya-os finished as top 7 of the class, respectively.

More than medals and rankings

Speaking during the recognition of the province's new unfledged sons and daughters, Governor James S. Edduba emphasized that the graduates' accomplishments are more than just victories.

He said their milestone strengthens the good name that the province has built over the years.

With this, he reminded the new sailors to continue living by the values of "Paniyaw," "Ngilin," and "Bain," saying these principles should guide them throughout their service to the nation.

"Throughout your career, kanayon yo latta koma nga bitbit diay core values tayo. Nu ada kanyayo dayta, sadino man ti pakaassignan yo, agsucess kayo. Diay success yo, haan lang diay nagan yo ti maitan-ok, pati ti ili tayo nga Kalinga. So imintinar yo garud dayta," Edduba told the graduates.

The achievements of these new military officers add another chapter to Kalinga's growing record of excellence in the country's uniformed services.

Their success serves as a reminder to their fellow iKalingas that with discipline, perseverance, and commitment, they can also rise to become one of the Philippine Navy's finest new sailors.
