Isabela, Philippines — A 23-year-old man was found hanging from a tree in Labinab, Cauayan City, Isabela on Sunday, a day after he reportedly opened up about being emotionally affected by his breakup with his girlfriend.

Initial police accounts, as cited by local media, revealed that the victim was drinking with his relatives on May 16 when he shared his emotional struggles following the breakup.

After the drinking session, the victim’s relatives returned to their respective homes.

The following morning, one of the relatives went back to the victim’s place and found him hanging from a tree. The 23-year-old was no longer able to survive the incident.
