75 and 85-yr.-old siblings stabbed to death by drunk, infuriated nephew

APARRI, Cagayan – Two senior citizen siblings sustained fatal wounds from their drunk nephew who barged into their house and stabbed them to death in Aparri, Cagayan earlier this week.

 

Aparri Police Statioin, May. Vilmore Mallillin, in an interview with the national media, revealed that the incident transpired at the victims’ house in Paruddun Norte, Aparri on September 28, 2026.

 

Citing police investigators’ account, Mallillin relayed that a young witness told the authorities that he saw the 32-year-old suspect entering his 75-year-old uncle and 85-year-old aunt’s house while armed with a bolo.

 

The next thing, he saw the accused attacking the 85-year-old and stabbing her with his bolo before proceeding to the 75-year-old’s room where he also attacked the old man who was at the time lying on his bed.

 

"Pagkatapos nang pananaksak, tumakbo iyong witness na bata at humingi ng tulong," Mallillin told the media.

 

The victims’ neighbors immediately sought help from authorities, and the 32-year-old suspect, accompanied by his sibling, later turned himself in to the authorities.

 

According to the 32-year-old accused who was brought under the custody of the Aparri Police Station, he was angry at the victims after he was accused of stealing. He also admitted he was drunk when he committed the crime.

 

The suspect will answer two counts of murder.
