32-yr.-old man in Tinoc, Ifugao arrested after selling Shabu to undercover cop; ₱7,004 worth of illegal drugs and .45 calibre pistol seized

TINOC, Ifugao — A 32-year-old man was arrested after police seized ₱7,004 worth of suspected shabu and a caliber .45 pistol during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Gumhang, Tinoc, Ifugao on September 18, 2026.


Police identified the suspect as a street-level individual who was arrested after allegedly selling three sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 1 gram and valued at ₱6,800 based on the Standard Drug Price (SDP) to an undercover police officer acting as the poseur-buyer.


Authorities also seized two additional sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 0.03 gram, with an SDP of ₱204.


Aside from the suspected drugs, police recovered a Taurus caliber .45 pistol loaded with seven rounds of ammunition, as well as drug paraphernalia.


The operation was conducted by personnel of the Ifugao Police Provincial Office Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Provincial Intelligence Unit, in coordination with the Tinoc Municipal Police Station and the 1st Ifugao Provincial Mobile Force Company.


The suspect is facing complaints for alleged violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Republic Act No. 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.


The seized substances remain suspected pending the appropriate laboratory examination.


Authorities said the operation forms part of the continuing campaign of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera (PRO-CAR) against illegal drugs and other criminal activities in the region.
