P2.1M shabu seized; Tuguegarao drug personality in Centro 5 falls in police raid

Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – An alleged drug personality in Tuguegarao City failed to hide more than P2 million worth of suspected shabu after authorities raided his residence in Centro 5 on Thursday, May 14, 2026.

The suspect, identified by police only as “Juls,” 42, was the subject of a search warrant served by anti-narcotics operatives at his residence.

During the operation, authorities reportedly recovered 312 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P2,121,600.

Also seized during the raid were various drug paraphernalia, including an improvised glass tooter, digital weighing scale, sling bag, plastic cases, disposable lighter, vape boxes, and paper bags, among others.

The confiscated evidence was inventoried on-site before being brought to the Tuguegarao City Component Police Station along with the suspect for documentation and proper disposition.

In a statement, Police Regional Office 2 Director PBGEN Mariano Rodriguez vowed that the police would remain aggressive in combating illegal drugs and criminality in the region to ensure public safety and maintain peace and order.

“Ang matagumpay na operasyong ito ay patunay ng matatag at walang humpay na kampanya ng PRO2 at ng buong Philippine National Police laban sa ilegal na droga. Pinupuri natin ang ating mga operatiba sa kanilang propesyonalismo, dedikasyon, at mahigpit na pagsunod sa legal na proseso sa pagsasagawa ng operasyon,” he said.
