Body of 5-yr.-old who drowned in Pasil found by fishermen in Tabuk City

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The body of the 5-year-old who drowned in Pasil this morning was found along the Chico River in Tabuk City around 8:37 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30.

The boy reportedly drowned after he was swept away by strong currents when he and his companions went to the Pasil River in Cagaluan, Pasil past 9:00 a.m. on September 30.

Search and Rescue teams in Pasil and in other areas in Kalinga were alerted for a river watch particularly at the Chico River while the authorities look for the body in Cagaluan.

After almost 12 hours of search and rescue operations, the Bureau of Fire Protection Tabuk City led by Fire Senior Inspector Arlyn Diwag told GURU Press Cordillera they received a call about the body being found by the fishermen at Gatab, near the Damsite in Bantay, Tabuk City.

The BFP personnel together with the Kalinga PDRRMO and Tabuk CDRRMO responded to the area to retrieve the body of the 5-year-old boy.
