LAGAWE, Ifugao – A farmer listed as Isabela’s No. 6 most wanted person was arrested in Barangay Kudoy, Lagawe, Ifugao, on November 3, nearly four years after he was accused of hacking a man to death inside a farm hut in Cordon, Isabela.

The 49-year-old suspect, identified only as alias “Kenneth,” was arrested by joint police operatives at around 9:30 a.m. by virtue of a warrant issued on November 8, 2022, for murder. The court recommended no bail for his temporary liberty.

The murder case stemmed from an incident on April 17, 2022, when police responding to a report discovered the lifeless body of an unidentified adult male inside a farm hut in Sitio Buneg, Barangay Anonang, Cordon.

Investigators found that the victim sustained multiple hack wounds in different parts of his body, which caused his death. Subsequent investigation identified Kenneth as the alleged perpetrator, leading to the filing of a murder case against him.

The arrest operation was led by the Cordon Municipal Police Station, with assistance from the Regional Intelligence Unit 14 of the PNP Intelligence Group, 1st Ifugao Provincial Mobile Force Company, CIT Santiago of RIU 2, and HSC-1SAB of the PNP Special Action Force.

Kenneth, who was reportedly residing in Ifugao as a farmer, was brought to the Cordon MPS for documentation and processing before being presented before the court for the appropriate proceedings.
