Alfonso Lista, Ifugao  - A 53-year-old farmer in Alfonso Lista Ifugao, Joseph Dela Cruz, is left heartbroken after his five-year-old female cow was stolen recently by still unidentified individual/s.

In an interview with Guru Press Cordillera this August 8, 2025, Joseph’s daughter, Jenefer Dela Cruz Bad-ang, said his father took the cow to graze at a vacant lot in Barangay Dolowog, Alfonso Lista, on July 31.

The next morning, August 1, Joseph went to check on the animal, but was saddened when it was no longer there.  He searched for the cow in the nearby areas for two days, but it was nowhere to be found.

Joseph later sought help from the barangay officials, who reviewed CCTV footage within the area but found nothing that could identify the culprit/s.

Jenefer added that the cow had been grazing in the vacant lot for a long time, and she believes that someone was keeping an eye on it  and waited for the right moment to steal it, saying, “Matagal ng doon pinapastol yong baka, siguro may nagmasid.”

In a Facebook post, Jenefer announced that she will be giving a P5,000 monetary reward to anyone who can provide information that can lead to the arrest of those responsible for the crime.

“P5,000.00 cash na pabuya sa sino mang makapagturo/makapagsabi kung sino ang kumuha sa BAKA! ,” she wrote.
