Isabela, Philippines – A 33-year-old man is set to face charges for two counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault involving a minor, following his arrest on April 20, 2026, two years after the alleged incidents.

The suspect, identified by police under the alias “Jude,” is a farmer, single, and a resident of Benito Soliven. He was arrested by operatives in his hometown by virtue of a warrant of arrest for two counts of rape.

According to Police Regional Office 2, the suspect allegedly abused the victim, identified under the alias “Sophia,” who was a minor at the time of the incidents. Police said one of the cases occurred in April 2024 when the victim was left alone at home.

Authorities reported that the suspect allegedly entered the victim’s house, threatened her, and proceeded to sexually abuse her.

The incidents were reported to authorities after the victim’s family filed a complaint, which led to the filing of charges and the issuance of a warrant of arrest against the accused.

Following his arrest, the suspect was brought to the custody of the Benito Soliven Municipal Police Station for proper documentation prior to his turnover to the court that issued the warrant.

Meanwhile, police in Cagayan Valley, led by the Quezon Municipal Police Station in Isabela, earlier arrested a 35-year-old farmer on April 14 for two counts of qualified rape of a minor and three counts of sexual assault.
