Aguinaldo youth to hold Mobile Legends tourney, SK got talent on “Linggo ng Kabataan”

Aguinaldo, Ifugao – Fun-filled games and activities for Aguinaldo youth will be rolled out by the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation in time for the celebration of “Linggo ng Kabataan” slated for Friday, August 11, 2023.

The event is an annual observance, as mandated by Section 30 of Republic Act No. 10742 or the SK Reform Act of 2015, to engage youth on pressing issues affecting them.

For Aguinaldo youth, their activities this year center on the theme, “Intergenerational Concern: Mental Health” to raise awareness on the mental health continuum and reduce stigma associated with mental illness.

Among the activities prepared by the federation include Mobile Legends (ML) tournament, SK Got Talent, and a poster-making contest.

The ML tourney was made open to all interested ones who must be bonafide residents of Aguinaldo. Participants must be under the age bracket of 15-30 whose account must be at least on Level 15. Each team must have 5 members. The registration for this tournament ended Monday, August 07.

SK officials, including duly appointed SK Treasurer and SK Secretary, will unleash their talents for the SK Got Talent.

The poster-making contest shall be related to this year’s theme.

Exciting prizes for the events shall be announced on the same day, before the activities begin at the municipal gymnasium in Galonogon, Aguinaldo.

“Sangguniang Kabataan Officials it's your turn to Shine!” expressed SK Aguinaldo.

Mayor Gaspar Chilagan Jr. encouraged youth in town to actively participate not just during the conduct of the youth week, but also in the decision-making and planning in their community as they hold a crucial role in nation-building.
