BSU, SLU, IFSU post 100% PNLE passing rate; 10 topnotchers produced

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Benguet State University (BSU), Saint Louis University (SLU), and Ifugao State University (IFSU) achieved a perfect 100% passing rate in the August-September 2026 Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination (PNLE), with their graduates accounting for 10 of the country’s topnotchers.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the PNLE results on September 18, with 28,652 of 37,359 examinees passing, for a national passing rate of 76.69%.

Three Cordillera schools hit 100%

BSU-La Trinidad recorded a 100% passing rate, with all 301 examinees successfully passing the examination.

SLU likewise posted a perfect performance, with 248 of its 248 examinees passing.

IFSU-Lamut also achieved a 100% passing rate, with all 114 examinees passing the licensure examination.

The three Cordillera institutions were among the seven schools nationwide with at least 100 examinees that posted a 100% passing rate.

10 Cordillera topnotchers

SLU led the Cordillera delegation in the top 10, producing seven topnotchers.

Johanna Marie M. Bagayao placed fourth with a rating of 91.60%, while Kris T. Guyong ranked seventh with 91.00%.

Four SLU graduates—Genvy C. Aro, Tristan C. Barcelo, Carl Fiona T. Campos, and Jairus Leigh P. Seguma—shared ninth place with ratings of 90.60%.

Danica A. Calantoc placed 10th with 90.40%. SLU confirmed the seven top 10 finishers in its official announcement.

BSU graduate Bhea Laureen Dela Cruz Garcia placed eighth with a rating of 90.80%.

Meanwhile, IFSU produced two topnotchers: Olbie Pedring Ullanis, who shared ninth place with a rating of 90.60%, and Graciel Jean Dulinayan Abad, who placed 10th with 90.40%.

The strong performance of the three Cordillera schools adds to the region's showing in the latest nursing licensure examination, as their new graduates join the ranks of registered nurses prepared to enter the healthcare profession.
