Family seeks justice on the killing of barista in Sta. Teresita, Cagayan


Sta. Teresita, Cagayan – Family cries for justice after their kin was shot dead along the national road in Buyun, Santa Teresita, Cagayan on Tuesday, September 5.

The victim was a bartender identified as James Spencer Reyes. He left behind a pregnant wife and his three-year-old child.


He worked at Apayao Brew, a sister company of JL Gasoline Station at Sitio Curva, Buyun Sta. Teresita.


He was found by police lying dead on the roadside at 11:50 PM on said date, with his motorcycle near him, when they responded.


At the crime scene, six rounds of caliber 45 were collected. It is believed that Reyes was a victim of summary execution or salvage.


According to his family, James did not have any enemies when he was still alive, and he was never involved in any illegal activities.


For quicker action, the family likewise requests that the matter be made known by Senator Raffy Tulfo.


The investigation of police for the case is now ongoing.
