Inbred rice seeds, according to the Department of Agriculture, refer to rice varieties that are produced through self-pollination or inbreeding, where the plant reproduces itself.

The distribution of rice seeds, according to Municipal Agriculture Office Rice Coordinator Rolly Dulnuan, is implemented to uplift local farmers and increase rice productivity.

“The provision of seed assistance is under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund program. It is part of the ongoing efforts to support local farmers and enhance rice productivity in the municipality,” he was quoted saying.

Dulnuan encouraged unregistered farmers to register with the RSBSA at the Municipal Agriculture Office to access agriculture programs and services.
