Jealous tricycle driver stabs wife in Piat, Cagayan

Piat, Cagayan – A tricycle driver in Piat, Cagayan will face frustrated parricide filed against him after stabbing his own wife.


This is by far the first reported stabbing in said town this year.


Police investigation stated it was jealousy that triggered the suspect Alyas Berto, 41, a resident of Ugac Norte, Tuguegarao City to hurt Alyas Elizabeth, 28, from Sto. Domingo, Piat, the Cagayan Provincial Information reported Friday, March 03, 2023.


After the incident, the victim was rushed to Cagayan Valley Medical Center for immediate medication. As relayed by her relatives, she is now on safe condition and is still under recovery.


The police, meantime, arrested and detained the suspect at Piat Police Station.
