Kalinga PLGU condoles with families of 8 casualties in Isabela truck-van collision, assures gov't support and assistance

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Officialdom of Kalinga led by Governor James S. Edduba grieves with the family and relatives of the eight individuals who tragically died in the truck-van collision in Aurora, Isabela on Saturday morning.

It was around 2:45 a.m. this July 19 when eight lives were taken after a 6-wheeler truck reportedly hit two vans bound for Tabuk City – one of them was struck head on resulting into the death of the driver and his seven passengers. All of them were pronounced dead at the hospital.

In a statement released through the Kalinga Provincial Information Office this July 19, the Kalinga government conveyed its sympathies with the grieving families who lost their loved ones in the tragic incident.

“The Provincial Government of Kalinga deeply mourns the tragic loss of our fellow Kalinga constituents who perished in a vehicular accident this morning in Aurora, Isabela. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families during this difficult time and assure them of the Provincial Government's support and assistance,” the PLGU wrote, asking for prayers for eternal repose of the departed souls.

The provincial government likewise took the moment to remind the public to always exercise caution when on the road, saying, “may this tragedy serve as a solemn reminder for all to exercise caution and always prioritize safety.”
