Lubuagan, Kalinga — To accommodate and hear the issues and concerns of the local government units, the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan will be visiting each municipality and city to conduct their regular session.

This July 13, SP Kalinga went to Lubuagan, the first municipality to be visited for their 61st regular session.

According to Vice Governor Dave Odiem, it has been their plan to go out and visit the different municipalities and the city in the province; however, the plan has been put on hold because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Ag-conduct tayo iti regular session kadagiti different municipalities tayo to tackle issues and concerns a kayat da nga ipaka-ammo kanya tayo – a marigatan da nga idanun idiay province. Gapu ta Lubuagan iti inmuna a capital ti Mt. Province, isu iti inuna ti SP a binisita,” Odiem explained.

Meanwhile, Mayor Charisma Ann Dickpus, who was delighted with the visit, said in her message that this is the first time that the SP came to conduct their session at the Sangguniang Bayan session hall in Lubuagan.

Dickpus continued on acknowledging the harmonious working relationship between the provincial executive and the legislative department, saying it is the same with the executive and legislative in Lubuagan.

“Nagpintas met daytoy working relationship ni Governor ken SP, amin dagiay plano ni apo governor ket sup-suportaran ti SP. Diay ti pagsayaatan na ta nu agkaalaan or ag-tandem dagita executive ken legislative, kasta met lang ditoy Lubuagan, amin a programa tayo ket suportaran met ti SB tayo,” she said.

Moreover, the mayor expressed hope that this will not be the first and last visit of SP Kalinga in Lubuagan to conduct their session and hear their concerns.

Meantime, Vice Mayor Victor Dickly also thanked the board members and the vice governor for visiting the municipality. He seconded the mayor’s statement saying, “agnanayun kuma a kunan ni mayor a kanayon kuma a kastoy nga agtittimpuyog tayo tapnu agmaymaysa tayo.”

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan will be heading to Pasil this last week of July.
