Tabuk City, Kalinga – Setting the direction for the continued progress of Tanudan, members of the Municipal Development Council (MDC) approved the municipality’s Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) for 2026–2031 and Institutional Reform Plan (IRP) for 2026–2028.

The CDP and IRP are key planning documents used by local government units to guide growth and improve governance. The CDP outlines the municipality’s vision, goals, and strategies for development over the next five years, while the IRP serves as a structured plan to enhance performance, service delivery, and efficiency within the LGU.

These documents were presented during the first semester meeting of the MDC of Tanudan, chaired by Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag, on April 15, 2026. Following discussions and deliberations, the council approved the resolution endorsing the CDP to the Sangguniang Bayan.

The IRP, which highlights the strengthening of institutional systems to ensure that all LGU departments in Tanudan are responsive, results-oriented, and capable of meeting higher service standards, was also approved and endorsed to the Sangguniang Bayan.

Moreover, the MDC approved its Internal Rules of Procedure, which Municipal Administrator Atty. Novilyn Matnao-Baclili described as a “big step in establishing clear guidelines for parliamentary procedures and decorum during council meetings.”

Other agenda items tackled during the meeting included reports on the annual accomplishments of the LGU and the Project Monitoring Committee; the proposed Annual Investment Program; proposed LGU project realignments; and the presentation and adoption of various annual work and financial plans for 2027 of different local special bodies, among others.

The council, which serves as the primary planning and coordinating body for the municipality’s economic and social development, also raised key concerns and discussed possible solutions and recommendations.
