Two men injured in motorcycle-kuliglig collision in Rizal, Kalinga

Rizal, Kalinga – Two men were injured in a motorcycle-kuliglig collision along the Rizal – Solana Road in Macutay late night of Tuesday, February 24.

Report from the responding unit, Rizal Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), stated that the accident happened past 11:00 p.m. The collision involved a 25-year-old resident of Babalag West and a 26-year-old resident of Bulbul.

The 25-year-old was described to have sustained wounds, deformity in his left knee, and possible fracture of his left leg. The other victim sustained abrasion on his right foot.

The responding team provided first aid to the two victims before transporting them to the Juan M. Duyan Memorial District Hospital for further medical care.

The Rizal MDRRMO, meantime, reminded drivers and vehicle owners to install reflectorized stickers or reflective markings, saying that parked vehicle without these stickers or markings can be hard to see at night which in turn lead to accidents.

“A small safety measure can make a big difference. Let’s work together to keep our roads safe for everyone,” the office noted.
