Wife reaches limit, reports abusive husband to Baguio Police

Baguio City, Philippines - After enduring years of domestic abuse, a 30-year-old woman in Baguio City has finally found the courage to report her abusive husband to authorities.

The woman, according to the report of the DZWT 540 AM - Radyo Totoo this July 23, 2025, recounted to police that her 31-year-old husband had started hurting her physically and emotionally since 2022.

Despite the physical harm and emotional pain, she chose to remain silent, hoping that he will change someday.

However, the situation went from bad to worse. On February 23, she suffered physical harm again from her husband because he was just irritated when she sang the song she was listening to. 

What made it even worse was the husband even threatened to kill her in front of their child. It was not mentioned in the report of said media if another abuse followed after that.

As she wanted to protect herself from further harm, the woman decided to report the matter to the BCPO Station 6 on July 22.

At present, the victim is preparing the necessary documents to file a formal complaint against the accused. She is being assisted by the police to ensure her safety through the legal process.

The identities of the wife and the husband were withheld for privacy.
