Baguio City, Philippines – A search warrant served by authorities on Friday, April 17, at a suspected drug den in Baguio City resulted in the arrest of 12 individuals and the seizure of illegal drugs worth more than ₱100,000.

Information from local media outlets indicated that the operation was conducted at a residential house along Slaughterhouse, Santo Niño, which was allegedly being used for illegal drug activities.

The operation lasted for about five hours before it was concluded.

The arrested individuals included four women and eight men who were found inside the premises at the time of the raid.

Authorities reportedly confiscated approximately ₱142,800 worth of suspected shabu, including 10 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing the illegal substance.

During the body search, additional items were recovered from three of the suspects, including a glass tooter, one sachet of suspected shabu, and a lighter.

In total, the seized illegal drugs weighed approximately 21 grams.

Other non-drug evidence found at the scene included glass tooters, assorted lighters, a butane gas torch, used aluminum foil with residue, plastic sachets, and other related items.

The arrested individuals are now facing charges for violating Sections 6, 7, 11, and 12 of Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The operation was carried out by personnel from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office–CAR and its various units, the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), the PNP Drug Enforcement Group, and intelligence units in the region.
