29-yr-old man dies in Isabela L300-motorcycle head on collision

Echague, Isabela - A 29-year-old rider lost his life following a tragic accident he met along the road in Echague, Isabela, on Sunday, July 27.  

The man, hidden under the name “Jeff,” is a resident of Alicia, Isabela, who was working as an account officer.  

The initial report from police obtained by a local media outlet narrated that Jeff was on board a Honda TMX 125 and was traversing the national road in Barangay Maligaya, Echague when his vehicle collided head-on with an L300 van.  

It was said that Jeff suddenly entered the opposite lane and hit the oncoming van, driven by alias “Teo,” 59.  

The report did not mention why Jeff ended up on the other lane, whether he overtook another vehicle or lost control of his vehicle.   

Due to the force of the impact of the collision, Jeff was severely injured, resulting in his untimely death.  

Meanwhile, Teo, the van driver, is currently under police custody while further investigation is being conducted by the authorities to determine the cause of the accident.

Teo will be charged if the matter is not settled amicably. Possible charges include reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and damage to property.
