Tabuk City, Kalinga – A 37-year-old man accused of raping a minor is set to face charges following his arrest in Bulanao on Tuesday, April 14.

The suspect, whose name was withheld by police, was the subject of a COPLAN WITDO operation conducted by law enforcement operatives in Kalinga due to an existing warrant of arrest. He was also listed as the No. 2 regional most wanted person in the Cordillera for the second quarter of 2026.

Armed with a warrant of arrest for qualified rape issued by the court on January 28 this year, authorities apprehended the 37-year-old resident of Pinukpuk at a hostel in Bulanao on April 14. He was taken to the Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Kalinga Police Provincial Office (KPPO) for proper documentation before being turned over to the court.

No bail was recommended for his temporary release.
