88 PLGU employees join mass testing; positive cases to be quarantined in City isolation units

Tabuk City, Kalinga – In support to the conduct of the Aggressive Community testing in the city, 88 employees of the Provincial Local Government Unit of Kalinga participated in the activity on Friday, February 19, 2021 at the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.


In an interview with Provincial Information Officer Dionica Mercado, she said those highly prioritized to have the swab testing are employees who are 60 years old and above, those who have comorbidities, second generation contacts of first generation contacts, security guards, frontline services providers and those willing to avail of the RT-PCR test.


“Amin nga PLGU employees, specifically dagiti employee nga highly prioritized nga etong mga 60 years old and above, dagituy adda dadduma nga rikriknaen na, yung mga second generation contacts ng first generation contacts, dagidiay security guards tayo, frontliners and anybody who is interested, isuda ti nag-avail,” she said.


Employees who participated in the testing, she said, are to subject themselves for home quarantine until such time that the result of their RT-PCR test is released.


“Aghome quarantine da inggana maala da daytuy swab result, result naman is 2-3 days ket hopefully nu maswab da itatta, by Monday afternoon siguro ket addan iti resulta,” the information officer said.


Employees who will be tested negative for the virus shall report for work on Tuesday, February 23, 2021.


As for individuals who will be found positive of the virus, they will be quarantined in isolation units of the city.


“Since adda tayu metlaeng dituy (Tabuk) ken daytuy PLGU ket residente iti Tabuk City, agfall metlaeng nu kaspagarigan nga nagpositive ket idiay dan tu metlang ayan iti quarantine or isolation facility iti Tabuk City or yung TTMF po nil,” Mercado said.


The four-day ACT in Tabuk City is expected to culminate on February 22, 2021.
