Body of hit-and-run victim in Abut, Quezon remains unclaimed

Quezon, Isabela – The body of an elderly hit-and-run victim found in Abut, Quezon remains at a funeral parlor, as no kin has come forward to claim it, according to police.


On April 15, the Quezon Municipal Police Station informed the public that a senior citizen, believed to be a victim of a hit-and-run incident, was found along the national highway in Barangay Abut.


The victim was wearing a blue polo shirt, gray shorts with six pockets, a camouflage cap, and a ring. He is estimated to be at least 60 years old and approximately 5’5” in height.


Responding personnel rushed the victim to the hospital, but he did not survive his injuries. His remains were later brought to Carbonel Funeral Home.


On April 16, GURU Press Cordillera reached out to the Quezon Municipal Police Station for an update, and authorities confirmed that no one has claimed the body.
