Cordillera police seized over P5.9M illegal drugs from Dec. 3-9, 2023

La Trinidad, Benguet - The intensified anti-illegal drugs operations by the Police Regional Office - Cordillera resulted in the seizure of more than P5.9 million worth of illegal drugs from December 3-9, 2023.

 

This is according to the PRO - Cordillera Regional Operations Division who presented the data on Monday, December 11.

 

Based on the report, a total of 2.66 grams of shabu with Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P18,088 were recovered from the 5 drug personalities arrested in the region during the period.

 

Of these 5 drug personalities, 3 of them were arrested in Baguio City, 1 in Benguet, and 1 in Kalinga.

 

Police eradication operations, in the meantime, resulted in the discovery of 22,330 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants, and 12,000 grams of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops with an overall SDP of P5,907,276.

 

The marijuana plants discovered were destroyed after proper documentation.

 

Follow up operations are currently underway to identify its possible cultivators, PRO - Cordillera wrote in their press release.
