Tinglayan, Kalinga – As it nears the start of its construction phase, the Tinglayan District Hospital underwent final validation on April 14 to ensure that its structural and facility requirements meet the necessary standards.

The Tinglayan District Hospital, which has been allocated P30 million from the provincial government’s start-up loan, is expected to fulfill the long-held dream of iTinglayans to have their own infirmary. Once completed, the hospital will serve as the primary facility addressing the immediate medical needs of residents, sparing them hours of travel to Lubuagan, Tabuk, or Bontoc.

The hospital is set to rise in the Fantu’ area, located at the boundary of Ambato-Legleg and Lower Bangad. The site positions the infirmary’s main entrance facing the iconic Sleeping Beauty mountain, offering the public a scenic and calming view of nature.

The final validation was conducted on April 14 by the Municipal Government of Tinglayan, through its Municipal Engineering Office, in coordination with engineers from the provincial government. The activity aimed to review the hospital’s infrastructure plans, facilities, and proposed improvements to ensure that it will be safe, functional, and capable of effectively delivering healthcare services to iTinglayans.

With this development, Mayor Charles Abay once again expressed his gratitude to the provincial government, led by Governor James Edduba, and to the Department of Health for helping realize the community’s long-awaited dream of having its own hospital.

“Tatta nga umas-asideg daytoy panaka-construct na daytoy ospital tayo, agyaman tayo unay iti provincial government ken iti DOH ta gapu kanyada ket asideg tayon nga maala daytoy arapaap tayo nga ospital. Agyaman tayo met lang kadagitoy nagaget ken naaalibtak nga engineers tayo ditoy munisipyo ken idiay province ta talaga isigurado da nga daytoy ospital tayo ket pasok iti standards,” Abay expressed.
