Baguio City, Philippines – Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) is asking for the public’s help in identifying a John Doe who has been receiving treatment and care at the hospital.

The unidentified male patient was brought to BGHMC on Tuesday, January 6, through the city’s Emergency Medical Service (EMS), according to a public service announcement from the hospital’s Medical Social Work Department (MSWD).

He was reportedly found unconscious at around 10:20 p.m. on the same day at Block 4 of the Baguio City Market by a concerned bystander, who alerted Police Station 7. In response, the officer on duty coordinated with EMS, which then transported the man to the hospital’s emergency room.

Upon arrival, the patient was non-verbal and did not respond to questioning.

He is described as approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, with a fair or light complexion, and appears to be around 45 to 50 years old.

At the time of assessment, he was wearing a blue shirt stained with vomit, a gray hooded jacket, and black shorts with side pockets that were wet in the crotch area. He was also wearing a gold-colored necklace, the MSWD-BGHMC added.

Upon examination, bruises were noted on his upper and lower extremities.

The patient has no tattoos or other identifying marks; however, a dental assessment showed missing teeth in his upper jaw, with complete dentition in his lower jaw.

With continued medical care, the patient has been gradually recovering, showing movement in his arms and opening his eyes. However, he remains unable to speak.

Anyone with information that may help identify the patient is urged to contact MSWD-BGHMC at 0969-334-5722 or via landline at (074) 661-7910 local 6030.
