Ifugao General Hospital starts operation

Lagawe, Ifugao – Patients in need of minor care and supervision shall now be taken care of at the newly-inaugurated Ifugao General Hospital.

The hospital, which was granted license to operate as a Level 1 health facility, has ceased its operation for over a decade. Following the completion of its new building, it now operates as a 45-bed capacity medical facility.

The completion of the edifice is made possible through the funding amounting to almost P400 million allotted by both the national and the local government.

The recent development enabled Ifugao province to join other provinces in the Cordillera region having their own operational provincial medical facility.

While the hospital now caters to people in need of basic medical services in the province and even nearby provinces, there are still those unfinished parts of the building needed to be completed.

Aware of said matter, Governor Jerry Dalipog, during the inauguration ceremony, committed to allocate funds for its completion.

He also mentioned setting up a Malasakit Center in the hospital, construction of a parking area, increasing the bed capacity and upgrading the health facility to a Level 2 hospital for it to cater critically-ill patients and those needing specialist doctors for gynecology and pediatric services.
