Tabuk City, Kalinga – Governor James S. Edduba reminded the employees of the provincial government and participating nation line agencies during the flag raising ceremony this Monday to remain professional and neutral, especially with the upcoming May 12 elections.

The Governor likewise emphasized the importance of having integrity over loyalty to a political figure, saying, “Let’s not politicize every action. Integrity is more important than loyalty to any political figure.”

During his talk, Edduba took the chance to refute allegations that he pressures appointees to support his campaign, explaining that “Dagiyay na-appointaran during my time, i never pressured them to campaign for me because what I keep telling is that you were chosen because you deserve it.”

The Governor also answered issues raised about the provincial hospitals, including the lack of medicines and alleged resignations of doctors, saying the Provincial Health Board which he chairs is always open to feedback. “Dayta issue ti hospital nga ibagbaga da nga kurang kanu ti agas, nagreresign kanu ti Doctors, Umuna una ket adda kayu ti provincial health board, ket always open dta. Diyay inpropose tayu nga 52 positions, dagijay increase dagiti sweldo dagiti nurses kada medtech to solve the problem haan da garud nga pirpirmaan, anya garud ti aramiden tayu.”

Edduba lamented that ten board members had signed the proposal but political noise is making progress difficult.

“Adda iti 10 nga BM nagsign idjay haan nakun agmention baka ibaga da manen nga panggep iti, politics.”

The governor likewise pleaded to the people to do a fact-check when they read, watch, or listen to information being circulated, especially those meant to misinform or destroy others’ reputation.

“Don’t let baseless social media posts dictate how you vote. Ar-aramidek laeng ti trabahok that is why I chose not to be a contractor, I chose not to be a businessman tapno agserbi ak laeng para kadakayu,” he added.

Edduba also appealed to supporters and the public to avoid hostility during the campaign, emphasizing his commitment to a peaceful and respectful election process.

“I did my part as a candidate. Kanayun ko ibaga ken ipangaasiyo ta awan iti agdadadail. I started politics on Pasil through a caravan campaign nga aggigiddan kami amin nga agngayngayangay. Awan agi-inatake ti kandidato karkaro dagiti supporters and I have seen that in Pasil ket diyay kuma ti kayat ko nga politika tayo ditoy province ta agkakabsat tayu amin we are all Kalingas and that is my contribution kadakayu nga kapulisan ibagbagak kadagiti supporters ko ipangaas6ta awan ti agatake. Nu man adda mangngeg yo ti social media awan ti permission ko dta nga adda ti agatake karkaru ti against ti kaay-ayam iti politika.” the Governor underscored.
