Baguio City, Philippines - Authorities in Baguio are now investigating the discovery of what appears to be human remains found at a vacant lot in the city over the weekend.

According to the police report, a certain Rodel found the suspected human bones around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2025, in South Drive, Baguio City. The man reported the matter to the authorities, who quickly went to the site to investigate.

When the police arrived at the location, they confirmed the presence of what looked like a human skull. They also found jogging pants, a green t-shirt, a blue jacket, and a pair of white slippers near the area where the skull was found.

In addition, the investigators discovered a piece of nylon rope tied to a tree.

In a phone interview with Guru Press Cordillera, Police Master Sergeant Catti of the Baguio City Police Office Station 3 said that the bones have been turned over to the Scene of the Crime Operative (SOCO) for verification or to determine whether they indeed belong to humans.

If confirmed to be human remains, authorities will be conducting full investigations to find out what really happened and the cause of death.
