23 Pinukpuk Beauties battle it out in Pre-Pageant of First-Ever Gammelayan 2026

Pinukpuk – Carrying the pride and identity of their respective barangays, the 23 candidates vying for the coveted title of “Gammelayan di Pinukpuk” showcased their wit, talent, beauty, and culture during the pre-pageant held Tuesday, May 19, at the Taga Gymnasium.

The search for Gammelayan (beautiful) 2026 forms part of the municipality’s first-ever Gimpong Festival, made possible through the leadership of Jimmy Dasayon and Shirlynne Dasayon-Alunday.

Dressed in vibrant native attire, the candidates confidently took the stage as they proudly represented the culture, tradition, and identity of their barangays.

The competition heated up during the talent portion, where contestants wowed the crowd through cultural performances, poetry, acting, painting, and singing numbers that drew loud cheers from the audience, including Mayor Dasayon himself.

The pre-pageant also featured the preliminary question-and-answer segment, where the young iPinukpuk candidates displayed their intelligence, composure, and communication skills before the panel of judges.

Serving as the judges were Mr. Jordan Arce, an educator; Mr. Justine Capito, Mr. Kalinga 2024; and Mr. Rhomar Carian, Ginoong Conner 2022.

The much-awaited grand coronation night is set on May 25 at the Municipal Gymnasium, where the first-ever Gammelayan of Pinukpuk will officially be crowned.
