Lamut, Ifugao invites you to their ‘FIRST TOURISM WEEK’ come September

Lamut, Ifugao – In celebration of its first-ever Tourism Week this September 2022, Lamut municipality will be launching various activities, including the first “Gastro Horticultural Trade Fair” that highlights the food and culture of the locality.

Lamut Tourism Office said the exhibition will run from September 05 to 30 at Lamut Tourism Village in Barangay Mabatobato.

The municipality, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), invites the local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) on food, wearables, handicrafts, and tools, as well as the “plantitos/plantitas” to participate in the event.

For slot reservations, interested MSMEs are advised to visit Negosyo Center Lamut or Business Permit and Licensing Office and look for Noryn Martinez and Olivia Lim-ang.

Fun Hike and Launching of Sky Lantern (Recreation)

Fun hike and launching of sky lantern will be held on September 24 at Matangili Rock Formation.

For the fun hike, the local tourism office will only accommodate the first 50 registrants. Interested individuals may register at the said office with a P100 fee.

Departure of participants will be at 5 AM of said day. They will be provided transportation until the drop-off point in Barangay Magulon. From there, they will hike up to Matangili Rock Formation where they can witness the launching of sky lanterns.

Mural painting (Art)

Simultaneously, mural painting will likewise be conducted at 10 AM at Tourism Village on that day.

Those who wish to join may contact Kerajie Bimmulog, the Chairman of Panopdopan Sangguniang Kabataan (SK).

Paragliding and Paramotor Exhibition (Sport)

On September 26, Paragliding and Paramotor Exhibition shall be held at Dar-awan Viewpoint. The sports activity is in partnership with Paramotor and Paragliding Association of the Philippines, Inc. and Northside Air Flying Sports Center of the Philippines, Inc.

Pasalubong and Showroom Center (Bring home Lamut)

The following day, the Pasalubong and Showroom Center will be launched at the Tourism Information Center of Tourism Village.

Community Tilapia grilling (Food)

With “tilapia” as the One-Town-One-Product of Lamut, a community grilling of said product will be staged on September 27 at 10:30 AM.

“We are inviting everyone to Experience and Rediscover Lamut through FOOD, CULTURE, RECREATION, and SPORTS as you BRING HOME A PIECE OF LAMUT with you,” expressed Lamut LGU through its Tourism Office.
